Arriving by plane

Fiumicino "Leonardo da Vinci" International Airport (FCO) is the main airport of the city and it is located about 30 km southwest of the city. Best options to get to the conference venue are:

By train. The Leonardo Express, a non-stop dedicated service, links Fiumicino Airport  with Roma Termini railway station in approximately 30 minutes, with departures scheduled every 15 minutes from early morning until late evening. The single ticket, valid for only one journey, costs €14. Alternatively, you can reach Roma Termini and other Rome stations using the FL1 regional line trains, with departures every 15/30 minutes.

Once in Termini station, you may take the subway blue Line B (towards Laurentina) and get off after a few stops at either Basilica San Paolo Station or Marconi Station. The conference venue is at walkable distance (approx. 8 min) from there. Alternatively, you may take the bus line no. 170 from the square in front of the train station.

By bus. Several bus lines can be used to reach the city from the airport. Information on timetables, routes and ticket prices can be found on the websites of the various companies, listed here.

By taxi. Taxi service is available at Arrival areas. Authorized Taxi vehicles are white with a “TAXI” sign on the roof. A fixed fare of €50, including all supplements, is defined from Fiumicino Airport to Rome city center (within the Aurelian Walls). The journey takes about 50 minutes. PLEASE NOTE: this tariff does not apply if you are coming straight to the conference venue, so we recommend the public service.

The cost is €2.70 and the journey takes 30/50 minutes.
