Instructions for Authors

Submitted papers must report original unpublished work and should be prepared according to these instructions for authors.

All papers will be peer-reviewed by at least two reviewers.

Review is single-blind, i.e. the names of the reviewers are hidden from the author.

At least one author of each accepted paper is required to register for the paper to be included in the conference proceedings. All accepted papers must be presented at the symposium by one author or by a qualified proxy. The presentation format is an oral presentation or a poster presentation. Accepted papers which are not presented will be excluded from the conference proceedings.

The ISPA Proceedings will be published in electronic format only.

The conference proceedings will be submitted to the IEEE Xplore Digital Library®.

Paper Formatting Instructions

The language of the paper must be English.

The length of full papers is limited to a maximum of SIX A4 pages. These six A4 pages should include ALL the contents of the paper, including abstract, figures, references, etc.

The length of short and position papers is limited to a maximum of FOUR A4 pages excluding references. These four A4 pages should include almost all the contents of the paper, including abstract, figures, references, etc., but not references which may take up the additiona fifth page.

When referencing existing works if a referenced work has a DOI then include it at the end of a particular reference as https://doi.org/DOI (see Crossref DOIs in references, Option 1).

The papers should be submitted electronically in PDF format and should adhere to the IEEE PDF Specification for IEEE Xplore.

Please make sure that the generated PDF documents:

1. have no more than SIX pages for full papers and no more then four pages for short and position papers,

2. have A4 page size,

3. have all used fonts embedded and subset,

4. have no content written in the margins (18mm top, 12mm right, 12mm left and 25mm bottom),

5. have page numbers omitted, and

6. list DOIs in references.

Templates

Submitted papers should follow the IEEE conference proceedings templates (http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html) for double column A4 paper size.

Proceedings will be published in electronic form only so colors may be used. If using color please select used colors carefully to retain monochrome printing compatibility.

If you use Microsoft Office built-in PDF creation capability please make sure that "ISO 19005-1 compliant (PDF/A)" option is checked so that fonts are embedded and subset as required.

If you use LaTeX please ensure the option a4paper is selected for the IEEE document class, that is use:

If using LaTeX then use of pdflatex is encouraged for creating PDF documents.
