Paper Formatting Instructions

Submitted papers to ISPA must be written in English, with a maximum limit of six A4 pages. These six A4 pages should include ALL the contents of the paper, including abstract, figures, references, etc. Please do not include page numbers.

The papers can only be submitted in Postscript or PDF format. Please make sure that the generated Postscript or PDF documents are in A4 format. If you use any non-standard fonts make sure that the fonts are embedded in PDF file. You can check the resulting PDF document page size by viewing it in Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Please follow the detailed instructions for authors in preparation of your paper. MS Word and Latex users can find the templates and styles below.

MS Word Instructions and Template

The MS Word file instruct.doc is the template for the requested paper layout. Please make sure that the paper size in Word is set to A4 and that the generated Postscript and PDF files are in A4 format.

LaTeX Instructions and Style

ISPA_LaTeX.zip - This zipped file contains all necessary LaTeX files.

Note that both current versions of LaTeX, 2e and 2.09, have the same macros -- refer to the start of the latex8.sty file for the opening statement for each.

When converting from dvi to Postscript make sure that you convert your dvi file to Postscript format using the command:
dvips -P pdf -t A4 <filename>.
"-t A4" option forces generation of A4 paper size. "-P pdf" option is required to generate correct Postcript file, which uses Type 1 scalable fonts instead of bitmapped fonts. This ensures generation of correct PDF files, which can be viewed both on the monitor screen and can be printed on paper.
